Webtech (NI) Limited, a leading name in the Beverage Industry in the supply of Plastic Labelling has just purchased James Townsend Printers in the UK. Webtech, a volume printed label supplier based in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland established themselves in 1987 and have since grown to be the largest supplier of Reel-Fed    OPP* Labels throughout the UK, Ireland and now into Europe.

James Townsend an award winning printer who thrives on quality and exceptional service is an ideal, attuned addition to the Northern Ireland Company. Webtech is a privately owned business and has been operating at its Enniskillen facility for over 19 years and currently employs 75 people. The company is heavily equipped with the latest state of the art printing equipment including a new 10 colour press which has been added to the existing range of printing and converting machines. James Townsends which have been based in Exeter in the UK have been supplying Litho Cut & Stack, Wet Glue and Reel-Fed labels to an extensive range of customers across the UK for the past 100 years.

Webtech’s vision is one of great synergy between both companies especially as both have a long history with superb reputations in delivering high quality labels to the FMCG Markets. The acquisition of James Townsends will see Webtech now immerse into the wet glue paper label market. This will open doors to companies in the bottled beer, bottled water, salad dressing, jam and condiments market to name but a few. Webtech already supplies customers in highly competitive markets such as Germany, France, the UK and Sweden and investment in the latest machinery, technology and now in James Townsends will keep them to the forefront of the labelling industry.

Webtech and Flint Group - Shaping The Future

 

Webtech and Flint Group have jointly embarked on a journey of investment, leading the way on ink management consisting of a £250,000 process transformation including custom build ink room with the following technologies.

- Rexson ColorPoint state of the art ink dispensing system,

- X-Rite ink formulation software with a spectrophotometer including colour quality control software,

- Automated K-Bar proofing apparatus.

All improvements have been in accordance with European legislation relating to direct food contact. This significant joint investment demonstrates a major long term commitment between Webtech and Flint Group focussing on lean manufacturing and customer-oriented performance and quality improvements.

MINISTER OF ENTERPRISE, TRADE AND INVESTMENT FOR NORTHERN IRELAND ANNOUNCES NEW JOBS FOR FERMANAGH

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced that up to 50 new jobs could be created as a result of expansion by Fermanagh company Webtech NI Ltd.

Enniskillen-based Webtech (NI), a market leader in the production of flexible labels for the drinks industry across UK and Ireland, is investing a further £5 million to expand sales to key European markets with the potential for up to 50 new jobs. Invest NI has offered over £626,400 of support, including part funding from the European Regional Development Fund.

Making the announcements, Arlene Foster said:
"These investments totalling almost £10 million, are welcome news for Fermanagh and the wider packaging sectors here".

Commenting on the investment by Webtech NI, the Minister said:
"Webtech NI already supplies customers in highly competitive markets such as Germany, France and Sweden and is investing in the latest labelling technology that will strengthen its overall competitiveness. Around 95% per cent of its business already comes from customers outside Northern Ireland and this success provides a very strong base upon which to grow sales within other European markets".

"The expansion is a substantial boost as it will provide high quality manufacturing jobs within an ambitious and technology-led business which has a very strong commitment to export growth."
